Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) makes sure that children don't face deportation proceedings alone by providing free legal representation to unaccompanied immigrant children navigating the U.S. system without a guardian. And the children at the children's group home (Hogares Providencia de Querétaro in Mexico) are doing the most courageous thing of all: growing up and building a future without a guaranteed safety net.
