A Note From Vivianne

Hi! I'm Vivianne Castillo, Creator of The Walkout, and I wanted to share why we’re donating 20% of our profits to the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the National Immigrant Justice Center.

I’m a proud Chicagoan with a deep love for my city and I also have a deep belief that food, safety, and justice shouldn't be privileges: they’re basic human rights.

And right now, people in our communities are hurting.

Food insecurity means parents skipping meals so their kids can eat. ICE raids fueled by racial profiling and hate mean families are living in fear in the place they call home.

When I see that, I can’t just build something for UX folks and call it a day. I believe business can and should be a healing experience. And because of that belief, The Walkout exists not only to help you step into your next chapter but to create ripples of care that reach far beyond any one of us.

When you invest in yourself through this event, you’re also investing in someone else’s safety, nourishment, and hope.

That’s the kind of world I want to live in.

That’s the kind of experience I'm building with Dan Mall and Rachael Dietkus.

And we hope you join us and be a part of something bigger than yourself💙
